Equine Facilitated Therapy & Life Coaching

Equine Facilitated Therapy is an experiential support program that brings horses and humans together in a safe environment. These supervised sessions can be facilitated as individual sessions or group sessions.

EFT has many benefits to assist learning. Horses themselves  have so many things to teach us. Through our programs we learn about the horses therefore providing a rich diversity of things we can also learn about ourselves.   

Due to the nature of horses, there are many parallel needs to be met in order to have confident and comfortable interactions. It is for this reason discussion topics around social interaction, self-care and leadership can be so rich. 

A healthy horse's ability to regulate their nervous system is a fantastic organic support for us to learn from as they use their connections to the happenings in the here and now to create their sense of safety. Horses develop attachment's to their herd as we do to our families and significant care givers. Through this we can identify where feelings of safety and connection are strongest or lacking. Our EFT providers are well trained to facilitate safe interaction for people, allowing an inclusive program and participants need no previous equine experiences.  

EFT can be provided to suit the individual needs of the client with sessions guided by a qualified mental health practitioner or equine facilitated learning coach. This can be in a Counselling, or therapeutic coaching framework.

With this in mind we take a person centered approach to support each persons uniqueness to be real and grow on their own journey. We will support you through a range of evidence based approaches and techniques. Our eclectic approach to counselling provides opportunities of nature rich animal assisted and creative therapies, with a strength based growth mindset philosophy. All while utilizing reflective practices for opportunity of self realisations tenable to our clients' awareness embracing new opportunities to grow. This can be in areas of grief and loss, crisis support, change and adversity, addictions, parenting and behaviour support and faulty thinking patterns. We embrace the person you are today and strive to do the best with what we have in everyday. Through learning and connection life can be wholesome.

Our home schooling programs can be tailored to individual and group needs. Michelle has developed experiences in program facilitation within learning settings such as schools and in autodidactic learning delivery.

With a big picture approach to education we develop programs to follow peoples interests to attain strong educational outcomes. From meeting national curriculum to building a personal trust and love of learning.

Bespoke camps and respite services can be developed in consultation with Flying Changes Development Coaching. The  client is in the forefront along with coordination with any relevant key people. We can offer short term accomodation both in house or in appropriate locations throughout the community. With our skilled support staff you will not only gain a place to stay, you will be provided with taylored opportunities towards enhanced self-care.
